MEET YOUR COACH

Meet Coach Paul Pasquarosa – Your 55-Year Coaching Veteran and Dual State Champion Guide

I’m an IPTPA Certified Pickleball Coach, Dual State Champion in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and a coach with over 55 years of experience developing athletes across multiple sports. I’ve dedicated my coaching career to one mission: helping senior players enjoy this game more fully — by playing smarter, moving wisely, and building the kind of confident, sustainable game that keeps them on the court for years to come.

I believe pickleball for seniors should feel energizing, not exhausting. Controlled… not frantic. And most of all, it should feel like something you can keep doing, keep improving at, and keep loving for as long as you choose. That’s what this session is built around.

Five-plus decades of coaching have taught me one truth that never changes: the fundamentals always win. Whether I was coaching in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or anywhere in between, the players who improve fastest are the ones who master the basics and understand the strategy behind every shot. That’s exactly what I bring to this session.

What I bring to your game:

  • IPTPA Certified Pickleball Coach — International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association
  • Dual State Champion — Massachusetts and Rhode Island
  • 55+ years of coaching experience across multiple sports
  • Deep expertise in smart play strategies that win without exhausting you
  • Specialist in helping senior players build games that hold up over time
  • Known for a patient, structured, and genuinely encouraging coaching environment
  • Passionate about helping players discover what’s truly possible in their game — at any age

My story: Over 55 years of coaching athletes across multiple sports gave me something most coaches take decades to develop — the ability to read a player quickly, identify what they need most, and deliver it in a way that creates immediate, lasting improvement. When I found pickleball, I found the perfect arena for everything I’d learned. Earning dual state championships in Massachusetts and Rhode Island confirmed what I already believed: smart, patient, fundamentals-first play wins at every level.

For senior players specifically, I know exactly how to build a game that feels good, holds up over time, and keeps improving long after our session ends. I take warm-ups seriously. I coach at a pace that works for your body. And I finish every session with players feeling better, physically and mentally, than when they arrived.

My approach: Smart play is everything at this stage of the game. I focus on positioning, patience, shot selection, and the strategic awareness that separates players who grind for every point from players who make the game look effortless. For senior players, that means every drill is purposeful, every correction is clear, and everything we do is designed to help you play better for longer.

Here's what makes this approach work so well for seniors:

I bring IPTPA certification, Dual State Championship competitive credentials, 55+ years of coaching mastery, and a genuine passion for helping senior players play smarter and feel great doing it.

What I’m MOST focused on with this group: The small, purposeful adjustments that create the biggest improvements without putting unnecessary strain on your body.

Not overhauling your game, but identifying the specific habits currently limiting your performance and replacing them through gentle, purposeful drilling. Every rep is meaningful. Every correction is clear. And everything we do is designed to help you play better for longer.

We keep things moving at a pace that feels good. We take our warm-up seriously. And we finish feeling better than when we arrived.

On June 26th, I’m bringing this patient, championship-tested approach to intermediate players ready to enjoy this game even more in South Easton.

WHY SMART DRILLING WORKS SO WELL FOR SENIORS

Most intermediate sessions push players too hard, too fast, and send them home tired instead of energized.

I’m different.

Here’s my philosophy: Purposeful Drilling = Lasting Improvement

You don’t get better by doing more. You get better by doing the right things, correctly, at a pace that works for your body — with a coach who has spent 55 years developing athletes and knows exactly how to help senior players improve without burning out.

And here’s what I’ve seen time and time again coaching senior players:

That moment when you adjust your paddle angle and suddenly your third shot lands right where you aimed it.

That quiet satisfaction when your serve goes in — consistently, every time.

That feeling of rallying back and forth at the kitchen with real control — not scrambling, not guessing. Just playing.

You don’t need to work harder to feel that improvement. You need to work smarter. Right there on the court. Every session.

That’s why purposeful, paced drilling is at the heart of everything I do with this group.

Absolutely.

I appreciate your input. Would you recommend the course?

Absolutely. In a heartbeat.

Thank you very much.

– Joyce Nutt

Good afternoon.

Hello.

Your name is?

Deb Bradford.

You came in from where today, Debra?

Hanover.

And four hours, are you tired?

I’m exhausted.

Exhausted.

But a good exhausted.

And did you get anything out of the course?

I got an awful lot out of the course.

What’s your major takeaway?

I did a lot of drills, and I know that I need to drill more, and that’ll help my game.

Awesome. Thank you very much.

You’re Welcome.

– Deb Bradford

Hi, Sarah. You’re from where?

I’m from Boston, Massachusetts.

Boston, Massachusetts. Been playing how long?

Three months now.

Three months?

Yeah.

And you signed up for this course. Do you think it was worth it?

Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I learned a whole bunch. Good. What’s your biggest takeaway from today?

All of the drilling. It’s really important to drill and get the fundamentals down.

Okay. Yeah. And, on a scale of zero to ten, what would you rate the first?

I’d rate it a ten. I had so much fun. It was great. I would do another one.

Good deal.

Thanks so much.

Thank you.

– Sarah

My name is Cookie Roman.

Cookie Roman, aka Catherine?

Yes.

From where?

Near Providence.

So, you traveled a ways to be here.

And it was pretty much one of the best clinics I ever took. I learned so much today. I improved my serve, and I finally got a third shot drop, which has been, avoiding me for a long time.

That’s fantastic.

Well, thank you very much.

You’re a great participant. We appreciate you.

Thank you.

HAVE YOU EVER WALKED OFF THE COURT WISHING YOU HAD PLAYED A LITTLE SMARTER?

You know that feeling when you replay the match in your head…

…thinking about the shots that got away from you?

…noticing that you were working harder than you needed to?

…sensing that gap between the player you are and the player you know you could be?

That changes on June 26th.

Because by the time you walk off the court, something will have shifted. Your positioning will feel more natural. Your decisions will come more easily. And the next time you play, the game will feel just a little more under your control.

IMAGINE THIS: It's Sunday, June 28th (Two Days After Camp)

You walk onto your regular court for your weekly game.

As soon as you start warming up, your playing partners look over.

“Something’s different about you today.”

Your serves are landing deep and consistent. When they return, you’re already in position. Your third shot drop is working — pulling them out of place before the rally even starts. At the kitchen line, you’re patient, controlled, and comfortable.

By the end of the session, they’re asking what you did. By the time you leave, they’re asking if you’ll share where you learned it.

That’s the difference between who you are right now and who you’ll be after the camp.

And it all starts the moment you register.

What You'll Actually Walk Away With (The Real Outcomes)

You'll Win More Points Without Working Harder

I’ll teach you how to control rallies through smart positioning and shot selection — not effort and power. You’ll start winning more points while using less energy.

Soon after camp, your opponents will be working twice as hard for half the results. While they’re scrambling, you’ll be composed and ready for the next point. Playing smarter, not harder, means you can play multiple times a week and still feel good afterward.

You'll Meet Your New Friends (And Stay Connected)

I’ll connect you with other players at your exact skill level. You’ll exchange numbers, join the Obsessed Pickleballers Community together, and stay connected with everyone you meet.

No one gets left behind. Whether you’re naturally social or more reserved, you’ll be welcomed and connected through our community platform. After camp, the group chat starts buzzing with game invites. By next month, you’ll have a regular crew who understands your goals and your game.

You'll Know What To Do In Every Situation

I’ll help you eliminate the hesitation that’s been costing you points. Should you drive or drop? You’ll know. When do you move to the kitchen? You’ll feel it. How do you handle the lob? You’ll be ready before it even lands.

When you step onto courts next week, your playing partners will notice a new clarity in your game — someone who moves with purpose and makes good decisions.

You'll Address the Habits That Have Been Holding You Back

I’ll help you identify the technical patterns that are currently limiting your game. When I show you how to adjust them — through gentle, purposeful drilling with clear feedback — the shots that used to frustrate you will start to feel natural.

Most players carry the same habits for years. A single good session can change that.

You'll Leave Feeling Energized About This Game

I’ll remind you just how enjoyable pickleball can be when it feels effortless. You’ll leave feeling good, physically and mentally, and already looking forward to your next time on the court.

On June 26th, the love for the game gets refreshed.

Because when pickleball feels easy, flowing, and fun, that’s when you truly fall in love with it all over again.
