MEET YOUR COACH
I’m a P4 Certified Professional, senior coaching specialist, and active 4.0-4.8 DUPR competitor who has dedicated my coaching career to one mission: helping complete beginners discover their love for pickleball and build the right foundation from day one — especially players in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.
I bring something most coaches can’t offer: 40+ years of competitive racquet sports experience at the 4.0-5.0 level — combined with the hard-won wisdom of someone who has navigated rotator cuff surgery, two hip replacements, and still competes at the 4.0-4.8 DUPR range. I know what it means to build a game that lasts — and I know how to help you build yours from the very first day.
What I bring to your game:
My story: I’ve been involved in competitive racquet sports for over 40 years, competing at the 4.0-5.0 level. In 2017 I discovered pickleball, and by 2018 my body had made the decision for me, I moved to pickleball only. A rotator cuff surgery in 2021 and a second hip replacement in 2023 shaped everything I know about playing smart, building the right habits from day one, and getting the most out of your game regardless of physical limitations.
Today I coach in Naperville and compete actively across Illinois. Everything I teach is rooted in 40+ years of doubles experience, a deep understanding of adult bodies and how they learn, and an obsession with simplifying the game so players at every level can improve immediately.
My approach: I love making pickleball simple and immediately fun for brand new players. The right habits formed on day one will stay with you for years. I break the game down into clear, achievable steps — building on each one until the whole picture comes together. I focus relentlessly on fundamentals and consistency. My philosophy: play smarter, not harder — and that starts before you’ve even played your first real point.
I bring P4 certification, 40+ years of doubles expertise, and a coaching philosophy built entirely around making the game feel simple, achievable, and immediately fun — combined with a genuine understanding of what adult bodies need to build technique that sticks from day one.
But here’s what I’m MOST focused on: Patient, beginner-friendly drilling that builds real confidence.
Not overwhelming drilling — but structured, encouraging drilling where you practice the same skill until it clicks. The kind that builds proper technique from day one so you start your journey the right way. With 40+ years of doubles expertise, I know exactly which fundamentals to build first — and how to make each one feel achievable from the very first rep.
I don’t waste time talking. We drill. You improve. You feel it immediately.
On May 30th, I’m bringing this patience, expertise, and genuine love for this game to beginners ready to start their pickleball journey in Woodridge.

Your Path Forward
Most beginner camps overwhelm you with too much information.
I’m different.
Here’s my philosophy: Repetition = Confidence
You don’t learn pickleball by watching demonstrations. You learn by actually doing it — over and over and over — with a coach who has 40+ years of doubles expertise and knows exactly how to build the right habits from the ground up.
And here’s the truth about why I’m obsessed with beginner-friendly drilling:
Because let’s be honest — we all love that moment when we try something new and it actually WORKS, don’t we?
That moment when your first dink lands softly in the kitchen.
That rush when your serve finally goes in — three times in a row!
That feeling when you rally back and forth without missing.
You don’t have to wait weeks to see progress. You see it immediately. Right there on the court.
That’s why drilling is the heartbeat of my beginner camps. Not because I think it’s good for you (though it is), but because it’s incredibly satisfying to watch someone go from “I can’t do this” to “I just did that!” in a single afternoon.
See why 98% of our campers recommend this camp.
Four hours well spent! Seres learned to slow down, be patient, and play with soft hands instead of just strength — mixing up returns in a smarter way. Mark picked up a brand new drop serve he’d never tried before and is already planning to mix it into his game. The drills were excellent, the instructor was fantastic, and we’d both say it’s absolutely worth the time and money — we’d recommend it without hesitation!
– Camp Attendee
“Four hours done and I’m heading straight back out to play — that’s how good it was! I’d give the afternoon session a solid ten out of ten, no question. There were so many great takeaways, but the five virtues — especially patience — really stuck with me and is something I know I’ll carry into my game. I’d recommend this program to absolutely everyone, it was fun, it was great, and completely worth it!”
– Camp Attendee
We drove all the way from Twin Mountain, New Hampshire to Boston Pickle in Hyde Park, and it was absolutely worth the trip! Four hours of great drills, nice people, and so much to learn. The biggest thing for me was learning to slow the ball down and really focusing on the serve — it’s so important and the constant drilling is what really makes it click. We’d both recommend this program to anyone without hesitation — and yes, we mean it, camera or not!
You know that moment when you see people playing pickleball and think…
…”I could never do that“?
…”I’m not athletic enough“?
…”Everyone else already knows how to play“?
That feeling ends on May 30th.
Because by the time you walk off the court at 4:00 PM, you’ll be playing actual pickleball games. You’ll understand the rules. You’ll know how to keep score. And you’ll have a clear path to becoming the player you’ve been watching from the sidelines.
You’re at your local park and you see a group playing pickleball.
But this time, instead of watching from the sidelines, you walk up confidently.
“Mind if I join?”
They welcome you in. You step onto the court. You call out the score correctly. Your serve goes in. You move to the kitchen. You dink the ball back and forth. You’re actually playing pickleball — and holding your own.
By the end of the games, they’re asking if you want to join their regular group. They’re exchanging phone numbers. You’re already part of the community.
That’s the difference between who you are right now and who you’ll be after the camp.
And it all starts the moment you register — because the transformation begins before you even arrive.
I’ll teach you every fundamental skill you need to step onto any court and play. You won’t just understand the theory — you’ll have actually done it, repeatedly, with patient coaching from a P4 Certified professional with 40+ years of doubles expertise.
By the end of camp, you’ll be able to serve, return, dink, volley, keep score, and play actual games. You’ll understand the rules. You’ll know the etiquette. You’ll be a real pickleball player.
I’ll connect you with other beginners at your exact skill level. You’ll exchange numbers, join the Obsessed Pickleballers Community together, and stay permanently connected with everyone you meet.
No one gets left behind. Whether you’re naturally social or more reserved, you’ll be welcomed and seamlessly connected with the entire group through our community platform.
After camp, the group chat starts buzzing with practice invites. By next month, you’ll have a regular crew of fellow beginners who understand your journey — no more feeling intimidated or alone.
I’ll eliminate the fear that’s been keeping you on the sidelines. Not sure about the rules? You’ll know them. Worried about looking foolish? You’ll have practiced hundreds of shots. Intimidated by the scoring? You’ll be calling it out confidently.
When you step onto courts the following week, you’ll walk on with your head held high. You’re not a beginner hoping to fake it — you’re a trained player ready to learn and improve.
I’ll show you exactly what to practice and how to improve. You won’t be wandering aimlessly — you’ll have a clear roadmap from beginner to intermediate and beyond.
Most beginners spend months or years developing bad habits. You’ll learn the right way from day one — setting yourself up for rapid improvement. My 40+ years of doubles expertise means I know exactly which habits to build and which to avoid from the very start.
I’ll show you why millions of people are obsessed with pickleball. You’ll leave energized, excited, and already planning your next time on the court.
Remember feeling intimidated watching others play and wondering if you could ever do that?
On May 30th, it comes roaring back.
Because when you experience what it feels like to actually play, when you’re laughing, competing, and connecting with new friends, that’s when you catch the pickleball bug.
