I’m a certified pickleball teaching professional with 30 years of overall coaching experience who’s dedicated my career to one mission: helping passionate women unlock their true potential on the court through smart, strategic play—especially players in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.

What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing how this beautiful sport truly changes people. I love watching someone hit a winning point they never thought they were capable of… and then realizing that moment of joy stays with them long after the game ends.

Pickleball isn’t just about competition for me. It’s about the friendships that form, the partnerships that grow, and the confidence people build every time they step onto the court. There’s something incredibly special about being part of those moments — when hard work turns into happiness, and strangers turn into teammates and friends.

My approach: With 30 years of coaching experience across yoga, bootcamps, and tennis, I bring a unique perspective to pickleball instruction. Hi, I am Coach Malorie Whitefield

I’m a dedicated instructor who brings joy, encouragement, and a fun game-like atmosphere to every session. I specialize in helping passionate players unlock their potential through repetition, positive reinforcement, and skill-specific training… especially players in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.

My approach focuses on facilitating your skills so you get greater enjoyment out of the game—because when practice is fun and encouraging, improvement happens naturally.

My story? I was a high-level tennis player who knew nothing about pickleball. A friend suggested I give it a try since I love tennis and ping-pong, two sports that incorporate the skills necessary to play pickleball. I found an excellent instructor and took a lesson. My 45-minute lesson was pure joy. I was hooked. Now I play, drill, and teach roughly 5 to 6 times per week.

My tournament experience: I’ve played in many local tournaments in Florida, competing in mixed doubles and women’s doubles with multiple medals in various divisions. My greatest achievement is qualifying for the World Championship in Dallas in 2025, proof that dedication and the right training approach can take you to elite levels.

My approach: What I enjoy most about teaching is facilitating your skills so you get greater enjoyment out of the game. I do this by working on specific shots with repetition and encouragement, while incorporating a fun, game-like atmosphere. My positive personality is well-suited to teaching, as I try to make practice fun and supportive. Anyone who takes a camp, clinic, or private lesson has one thought in mind: they want to be better. I. Introduction (20 minutes)

II. Warm-Up & Stretching (15 minutes)

III. The Two Most Important Shots (30 minutes)

  • Principles: In, deep, and toward the non-dominant side

IV. Third Shot Drop & Drive (30 minutes)
